Step 1 — Start your trial

Create your account and start the 14-day free trial. You are in the app immediately — there is no waiting on a sales call or an onboarding appointment. Start here.

Step 2 — Import your marks

Paste your USPTO serial numbers — one per line or comma-separated, with or without slashes and leading zeros — or upload a CSV of your portfolio. DeadlineDocket looks each mark up against USPTO TSDR and pulls the mark text, owner, filing date, current status, and the full prosecution history. Deadlines are calculated automatically from the most recent events.

Step 3 — Read your dashboard

Your dashboard is a work queue, not just a list. Deadlines are grouped by urgency — Overdue, Urgent (0–3 days), Due 4–10 days, and Awaiting USPTO — and tabs let you filter by type: Office Actions, NOA/SOU, Maintenance, and more. Spend a minute here confirming the marks and deadlines look right.

Step 4 — Set your weekly digest

Each team member sets their own digest schedule — which days, what time, and which sections to include. Attorneys often take a Friday afternoon summary; paralegals a daily morning briefing. Even if you never log in, the digest surfaces anything overdue. This is your second layer of redundancy.

Step 5 — Turn on Upcoming Notices

Every approaching deadline queues a client reminder at a fixed cadence before it comes due, so nothing goes invisible — and an invisible deadline is a missed deadline. You review what is going out, to whom, before anything sends. Learn more on the Upcoming Notices page.

Once your marks are imported and your digest is set, the system does the watching. Mark a filing complete and DeadlineDocket verifies it against USPTO TSDR for you — confirming the office actually received it, not just that you clicked submit.
