New in DeadlineDocket
The July 2026 release, our largest yet. AI-assisted office action work, a lighter interface, and a faster workflow, built for solo and small trademark practices.
AI Office Action Assistant
Paste an office action, or pull it straight from USPTO by serial number, and get a first-pass review in seconds. DeadlineDocket produces two things at once: an internal attorney dashboard and a client-ready email.
The dashboard identifies every refusal and requirement, cites the statutory basis, rates severity, gives a calibrated time estimate and a realistic likelihood-of-success tier, and lays out a targeted strategy and evidence package. The client email translates all of it into clear, non-alarmist plain English you can review and send. It is a starting point for your judgment, not a replacement for it. Every draft is built for attorney review before anything is filed or sent.
AI Response Drafter
From the same screen, generate a starting-point response to the office action. The draft tracks the examiner's actual reasoning, organizes arguments by refusal, and flags every place that needs your facts or a judgment call, so you spend your time deciding, not formatting.
Bring your own AI key
The AI tools run on your firm's own API key for the provider you choose: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok. You pick the model, you control the usage, and you hold the relationship with the AI provider directly. DeadlineDocket does not resell AI.
The inputs are USPTO office actions and prosecution records, which are already public record. Your key is encrypted at rest and never shown back to you. You can also edit the prompts the tools use to match your firm's voice, and restore the defaults at any time.
Light and dark mode
The entire application, and this site, now support light and dark themes. By default it follows your device's setting, and it remembers an explicit choice per user across your devices. Switch any time from the toggle in the top bar.
Faster USPTO sync and bulk import
Pulling an office action from USPTO is faster and now shows real, staged progress. And when you are onboarding a whole portfolio, background bulk import lets you upload a CSV once and walk away: it keeps working after you close the browser and emails you when it finishes, with no batch-size cap.
Better client communications
Client email templates are grouped by prosecution phase and easier to scan, including a new "Statement of Use filed" template with a payment link that works with any processor. Send to a single client or a batch, with a preview before anything goes out.
