Terms and Conditions
Last updated: August 23, 2026
Welcome to DeadlineDocket™. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the DeadlineDocket.com website and related services (the "Service") operated by MLD Logic, Inc. ("DeadlineDocket", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
1. Who We Are & How to Contact Us
MLD Logic, Inc., a Florida Corporation
PO Box 291791, Port Orange
Florida, United States
Support: support@makelegaldocs.com
Billing: support@makelegaldocs.com
2. Services and Subscriptions
Our Service provides trademark deadline tracking, USPTO integration, and related practice management tools for attorneys and law firms. Some parts of the Service require a paid subscription ("Subscription") billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually).
Subscription details and current pricing are listed at deadlinedocket.com/pricing.
3. Trademark Data and Legal Disclaimer
DeadlineDocket integrates with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) TSDR system to retrieve trademark status data, generate deadline reminders, and track prosecution history. While we strive for accuracy, all data and deadline calculations are provided for convenience only.
Important: All deadlines, status information, and notifications provided through our Service:
- May contain errors or inaccuracies
- May not reflect the most current USPTO data
- Must be independently verified against official USPTO records
- Do not constitute legal advice
- Are not guaranteed to be complete or timely
You are solely responsible for ensuring that all trademark deadlines are independently verified and met. We strongly recommend that all critical dates be confirmed directly with the USPTO. DeadlineDocket is a supplementary tool and should never be the sole source of truth for deadline management.
3a. AI-Assisted Office Action Tools
The Service includes optional AI-assisted tools that help draft responses to USPTO office actions. These tools are turned off unless your firm chooses to use them, and they only function when your firm supplies its own API key for a third-party AI provider (currently Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or xAI). Your firm holds the contractual relationship with the provider it selects and pays that provider directly for usage. DeadlineDocket does not resell, mark up, or provide AI services of its own.
When your firm uses these tools, the office action text and related trademark details are transmitted to the AI provider your firm selected. That information is subject to the selected provider's own data retention and model-training policies, not ours. Your firm is responsible for reviewing the provider's policies before using the tools. USPTO office actions and trademark prosecution records are public records, published by the USPTO.
AI output is not legal advice. Any text generated by these tools is machine-generated, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and is provided only as a drafting aid. A licensed attorney must review all AI-generated content before it is filed with the USPTO or sent to a client. DeadlineDocket makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any AI output and disclaims all liability for reliance on it.
Your firm remains solely responsible for its own professional and ethical obligations, including client confidentiality and any duty to disclose the use of artificial intelligence.
4. Free Trials and the Free Plan
We may offer a free trial period. A trial requires billing details to begin, but no charges are made until the trial period ends. If you do not cancel before the trial expires, your Subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the posted rate.
The Free plan is separate from a trial. It requires no payment method, does not expire, and does not convert to a paid plan. It is limited to the number of trademarks stated on our pricing page, and certain premium features are available only for an introductory period after you create the account, as described there. Deadline monitoring and digest email for the trademarks you hold continue for as long as the account is open. We may discontinue or change the Free plan on notice; if we do, your data is handled as described under Data Retention and Deletion in our Privacy Policy.
5. Billing and Payments
All payments are processed securely through our payment partners. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record and is responsible for billing, tax collection, and receipts. You authorize MLD Logic, Inc. (and its payment partners) to charge your selected payment method for applicable fees and renewals unless cancelled before the next billing cycle.
5a. Pricing Changes
We reserve the right to adjust subscription pricing at any time. If we change the price of your subscription plan, we will provide at least 30 days' written notice (via email or in-app notification) before the new price takes effect on your next renewal date. If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the renewal date. Continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Founding Member pricing is governed by Section 8 below and is exempt from general price increases, subject to the terms of that section.
5b. Add-On Features and Premium Services
We may introduce additional features, integrations, or services ("Add-On Features") that are available at an additional cost beyond your base subscription. Examples may include, but are not limited to, AI-powered tools, calendar integrations, advanced reporting, and enhanced notification services. Add-On Features will be clearly identified and priced before you incur any charges. You will not be automatically enrolled in or charged for any Add-On Feature without your explicit consent.
The availability, pricing, and scope of Add-On Features may change over time. We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or re-price Add-On Features with reasonable notice.
5c. Plan Limits and Plan Changes
Each subscription plan includes a maximum number of trademarks, stated on our pricing page. When your account holds that maximum, adding a further trademark requires moving to a plan with a larger allowance. Our largest published plan carries the highest allowance we sell; if your portfolio exceeds it, contact us at support@makelegaldocs.com and we will arrange terms for it. Reaching a limit never removes, hides, or deletes trademarks you already hold, and their deadlines continue to be monitored. Plans sold without a stated trademark limit keep that arrangement for as long as the subscription remains in effect.
You may change plans at any time through your account settings. Moving from the free plan to a paid plan takes effect immediately. A change between paid plans is scheduled for your next renewal date; we do not issue mid-cycle charges or refunds for a change, and your current allowance stays in force until that date. A plan change to a smaller allowance is available only while the trademarks in your account fit within that allowance. Moving from a paid plan to the Free plan is not a self-service change; email support@makelegaldocs.com and we will arrange it.
6. Refunds
All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Refund requests are handled in accordance with Paddle's Terms and Conditions and their refund policy. If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a refund by contacting support@makelegaldocs.com or through Paddle directly. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method.
7. Renewal and Cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time through your account settings or by emailing support@makelegaldocs.com. You retain access until the end of your current billing period. Cancellations do not apply retroactively.
8. Founding Member Subscriptions
The Founding Member offer is closed and is no longer available to new customers. It was offered to a limited group of early customers during our initial launch period. This section continues to govern the subscriptions of existing Founding Members. We may, at our sole discretion, reopen the offer, including opening an additional limited batch of Founding Member subscriptions; if we do, the terms of that batch will be stated at the time.
Founding Member pricing applies to the core feature set available at the time of subscription. Existing Founding Members retain their locked-in Founding Member pricing for the core feature set, including after cancellation and later re-subscription, unless we expressly state otherwise in writing at the time of re-subscription. Add-On Features introduced after the Founding Member period (as described in Section 5b) may be subject to separate pricing and are not included in the Founding Member rate unless explicitly stated.
9. Taxes
All prices are listed in USD and may include or exclude applicable sales or value-added taxes, depending on your jurisdiction. Taxes are calculated and collected automatically by our Merchant of Record where required by law.
10. Account Responsibilities
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.
11. Intellectual Property
All content, code, and intellectual property within the Service are owned by MLD Logic, Inc. or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service solely for your lawful business purposes.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for unlawful purposes, to infringe on others' rights, or to attempt to disrupt or harm system performance or security.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We make no representations about uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of any deadline calculations, USPTO data synchronization, or notification delivery.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MLD Logic, Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business, arising from or related to your use of the Service. This includes, without limitation, any damages arising from missed trademark deadlines, inaccurate data, or delayed notifications. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service during the prior twelve (12) months.
15. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify these Terms or the Service from time to time. Any material changes will be posted with at least 30 days' notice before taking effect. Continued use after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Venue for all federal matters shall lie exclusively in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and venue for all state matters shall lie exclusively in the courts of Volusia County, Florida.
